BookLoop works because readers trust each other. These guidelines apply to everyone taking part in the beta.
Describe books honestly
Use real photos of the copy you are sharing and describe its condition clearly, including notes, marks, or damage. Check the book together when you hand it over.
Be kind and reliable
Communicate respectfully, agree on the time and place before meeting, and let the other reader know early if your plans change. Return borrowed books on time and in the condition you received them.
Meet in public
Choose a busy public place in daylight, such as a café, library, or square near public transport. Do not share your home address, and never meet somewhere that makes you uncomfortable.
Protect your privacy
BookLoop never shows your exact location to other readers. Keep conversations in the app and do not share personal documents, financial details, or passwords.
Report and block
You can report a profile, listing, message, or exchange, and block another reader in the app. Reports about unsafe behaviour or harassment are reviewed the same day during the beta.
What is not allowed
Harassment, discrimination, threats, misleading listings, selling books for money, or trying to game BookPoints. Breaking these guidelines can lead to hidden listings, restricted messaging, or account suspension.
